What can I say...I love the human form, so beautiful so simple yet complex. Over the years I have cast it, drawn it, photographed it, sculpted it. My heros are Giacametti, Henry Moore, Rembrant, Caravagio - all I can do is try and emulate and whether I succeed only you can decide. Finding my own style and voice has been the hardest journey.
I admire anyone who puts their work out there because we all need a voice..regardless of technical ability its about expression and raising a voice, that voice that speaks from the deepest part of us.

Many of you will have noticed that I have been absent for a while...
Sadly I have been unwell, suffice it to say that it is looking serious. I shall continue to post as able and to watch all my friends with interest. Once things are on a more even keel I hope to return with renewed vigour and passion. No matter what....you havent seen the last of me! :)

Motivation for latest series..

Many have asked what my motivation is, particularly in my 'Captive' series...
The simple truth is that I am on a journey, a journey of self discovery. The constriction, the loss of control, the vulnerablity, that rope work has opened new thoughts, new feelings which I need to understand. Once we understand what lurks in the dark we no-longer fear it. The greatest darkness any of us face is that within. I want to challenge it, become it, live through it.
What is scary is that it makes you realise that you hunger for more...
more knowledge...
more pain...
more understanding...
